Pinball Mover

Here is a simple and cheap home made pinball machine mover.  Unbelievable how easy it is to use. NO MORE LIFTING! This is a prototype and I will post drawings when I refine it a bit.  Don’t wait for the drawings.  The prototype works fine and you should be able to make one from the following description

Each end piece is made from two pieces of 2x4 of equal length. When butted together, they fit accurately between the two legs.  The hinge in the center holds them together.  An angle clip is attached to each end of the 2x4’s. It is pinned by a lag bolt.  The angle clip has a notch in one leg that straddles the leveler bolt.  Caster are attached to the opposite side from the hinge. Apiece of angle to use as a handle is attached to the hinge side of the 2x4.

To install each end, lay the 2x4 on the floor with the hinge pin and the handle in the vertical position, and the casters pointing under the PB machine.  Bend the hinge. While lining up the notches in the angle clips with the leveler bolts, straighten out the hinge to engage the leveler bolts. When in position, push the handle down and toward the center of the PB machine.  The casters will contact the floor and cam action will lift the legs.  The weight of the machine will keep the center of the 2x4’s at the hing point up.  Once both ends are lifted, use a piece of scrap metal and a couple vice grips or C-clamps to hold both handles horizontal.

Use caution when disconnecting the handles in the middle so they do not fly up.

A view of the angle clip straddling one leveler bolt.  Notice how it is attached toward one side of the 2x4.
